Combined revenue at the four properties reached nearly 408 million dollars in fiscal 2024, the strongest figure since fiscal 2019.
Getting a license in the first place was expensive. The manager selected for the northeast zone paid a privilege fee of 25 million dollars to the state treasurer before the doors opened.
What The Kansas Racing And Gaming Commission Does
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission is the regulator, and it describes itself as a criminal justice agency whose charge is enforcing the law rather than promoting the industry. Five commissioners meet monthly. Slot Payback In Kansas And What Is Actually Public
This is where most guides to Kansas slots either invent a number or skip the subject. Here is the real picture.

Table games across all four produced 2,381,767.73 dollars in the same month, which tells you how thoroughly slots carry this market. The state’s share of the month came to 8,288,538.15 dollars, with 1,119,299.88 dollars going to host cities and counties and 746,199.75 dollars to the problem gambling fund.
Read that table for what it is. Those figures are what the machines kept, not what percentage they kept. A property with double the revenue of another might be holding the same percentage on twice the handle, or a smaller percentage on more than twice the handle. Nothing in the public record separates the two, so revenue rankings tell you which floors are busy and nothing at all about which floors are generous.
